Jazelyne's Comments on TVXQ songs...
(download help...)
…after buying TVXQ’s Albums and Singles, now I can comment.
From ‘Hug’, first single
*Hug – I easily fell in love with this song. I like the beat, the rhythm, the music and the lyrics. It is a very sweet song. It’s about a guy who wanted to get close to the girl he loves. It is a simple yet captivating song. Jae Joong, Jun Soo and Chang Min’s voices are good. I can’t hear Yoo Chun and Yun Ho singing so much so I can’t tell. This is a good starting song for a new boy band like TVXQ. This song really helped TVXQ to gain popularity in a very short time.
*My Little Princess – This is a very nice song. The music and the lyrics fit together. I love the message of this ‘romantic’ song. It is about a guy who, after trying to hide his true feelings, finally found guts to confess to the girl he loves. It is a ‘perfect’ following song for a rising group like TVXQ. I easily love the song from the start. Yoo Chun did the English narration and he is so cool. It really turns me on. He has a good voice just ‘speaking/talking’ and he starts to grow on me more when I heard him sing. He is like an RnB Prince. I love Yoo Chun in that reason. It started with Yoo Chun and ends up with Yoo Chun. Very nice song.
*Oh Holy Night – It is a Christmas song featuring SM Town’s princess BoA. TVXQ is not really bad in English. They have to practice and improve their pronunciation. Over all, their blending is good.
*My Little Princess (Acapella) – Nothing is changed the way the song was sung but here, in the acapella version, you can hear them sing and realize how pretty their voices are esp. Jae Joong and Jun Soo. These two boys never had a gap in singing. Jae Joong’s voice is beautiful and Jun Soo’s style is unique. It is a good idea to put them together in one group.
From ‘The way U are’, second single
*The way U are – This song showed me that TVXQ is not just my ‘Acapella’ boyband that can only sing ‘Hug’ and ‘My Little Princess’. They can sing a dance song too with a very sexy style. I fell in love with Jae Joong’s husky voice. I thought he only have a ‘soft’ voice but I got attracted by his ‘hard’ voice in this song. Chang Min improved in this song. He started to create his own style. I just heard another side of TVXQ.
*Whatever they say – Yoo Chun, again, starts the song with his very nice ‘talking’. The song is nice, from the music, to the beat, down to the lyrics. It is about a guy who tells his girl not to listen to criticism and just believe in him. He’ll protect and take care of their relationship no matter what. Jae Joong’s singing also improved. He started to hit higher notes this time. He got his voice more developed like Chang Min who also improved a lot from Hug days. This is a very ‘cute’ song.
*Mountain Spring - This song is so amazing. This is an acapella song and I just told myself that TVXQ is really an acapella group after hearing this song. Their blending is perfect, excellent, too good to be true, but this is all true. This song surprised me that I keep on listening to it a couple of times. Their soft voices and their collision are very good. Jae Joong blends well with other TVXQ members. This song is so nice. I love it.
From ’04 Summer Vacation in SMTOWN.com’, SM Summer Album
*Hot Mail – The song is good. I thought it was love song at first. I can’t comment so much because TVXQ have only small parts to sing. Jae Joong sings most among TVXQ members and he stands out though BoA sings mostly among SM talents.
*Drive – I love the music of this summer song. I started to notice a new singing style of Jun Soo and Jae Joong. I like it when Jun Soo is followed by Jae Joong and vice cersa. They have a very good collaboration. I started to like the JaeSoo couple.
*Through the Forest – Another ‘cute’ song of TVXQ for summer. I just noticed Yun Ho’s voice is very good. He knows how to use this ‘Low’ voice with his own style in singing. He maybe not the natural singer at birth but he become one after his training in SM. I really love this guy.
From ‘Tri – Angle’, 1st Album
*I Believe (Mideoyo) – Yoo Chun is such an irresistible guy. He plays the piano really good and I like him just doing that. Yoo Chun started the song again with a very nice narration. This reminds me of ‘My Little Princess’ because Yoo Chun started and ended the song. Jun Soo did a very good singing in this song. Jae Joong didn’t sing much but you can still feel him because his voice stands out. A also love the music and message of the song. It is about believing that the one you love loves you too. This is a very ‘passionate’ song.
*Thanks To – I’m not really fond of listening to this song but it’s a good one. It’s about appreciating the love that is given to you. Jae Joong’s voice is really beautiful. I love him so much because of his voice. I also like the voice of Yoo Chun here. This song is a nice one since it brought out the best of all the TVXQ members. The only thing that I really don’t like about the song is that Chang Min follows Yun Ho. I really hate it. I really don’t know if it is because of the gap between their pitches.
*Tri – Angle – This song shocked me. I never thought that TVXQ could sing this kind of song. It differs from ‘The Way U Are’ so much because it is like a pop rock song. The song features SM Town’s Princess, BoA and Town Rockers, The Traxx. This is another side of TVXQ that I just discovered through a very powerful song like this one. Jae Joong and Yoo Chun really have a very good order.
*Will you be my girlfriend? (Ne Yeojachinguga Doeojulle?) – This reminds me of ‘Hug’ but ‘Hug’ is better. This is a very sweet song. If Jae Joong will sing this to me, I will quickly say ‘yes’ to him. This song is about a guy who shows and prove the girl how much he loves her and asking if she can be his girlfriend. It is so cute of TVXQ to sing a kind of song.
*Whatever they say (Acapella) – This is the Acapella version of one of my favorite TVXQ songs. They all have beautiful voices and their blending improved from ‘Mountain Spring’. Chang Min is so irresistible as he sings with his big voice putting aside his ‘high pitch’ voice.
*Million Men – I’m not really fond of this song. This is about a guy telling a girl not to be so materialistic. Jae Joong’s, like in ‘The Way U Are’, uses his husky voice in this song. It is so attractive. The beat of the song is good.
*Like Right Now (Ji Geum Chuh Rum) – I really love this song. Jae Joong sung most of the parts so you can really hear his beautiful voice. I also like the message of the song. It is about learning from mistakes and getting ready to love again.
*I never let go – I love this song. The message is beautiful. It is about never letting go of the love that you’ve taken care for a very long time. Jae Joong’s singing is really amazing. He can reach lower notes without mumbling the words. He is so cool. He is really one of the best Gasoo that I know.
*Little Child (Komaya)– This is also one of my favorite songs in this Album. This song is cute and sweet. It is about puppy love. The guy wants to love the girl just like when they are little kids. Yun Ho’s singing is really good. He sings most of the lines like Jun Soo. This song really suits his voice.
*You Always (Non Onjena) – This is another song that I like from this Album. This song is about a guy who keeps on waiting for the girl he loves to come back. The two with the lowest voice sings mostly the lines of this song. Yoo Chun and Yun Ho did a very good job esp. rapping very fast and singing their lines.
From ‘Christmas Gift from Dong Bang Shin Ki’, 1st Christmas Album
*Jesus, Joy of Man’s Desiring (Acapella) – I really love this song because they sang it Acapella. I can hear their perfect blending so much.
*The First Noel – This Christmas song really match TVXQ members’ voices. This is a nice choice of song.
*Magic Castle – This is really the nicest song of all the Christmas song in this album. It sounds like a love song. You may think it is a love song when you can’t understand or you don’t know this song that much. Yes, it involves love but not so ‘passionate’ the way it sounds like.
*Prayer – It is also a good one. TVXQ really do sound great.
*Angels we have heard on high – Jun Soo really a great singer. I really love him in this song. TVXQ sounds like a choir.
*Santa Clause is coming to town – Jae Joong sings really cute here. They speak better English. Chang Min has a very good English among other members including Yoo Chun.
*Silent night, Holy night – Wow! TVXQ really have a very good blending. All of the members of TVXQ have good voices. Their different pitches and tones match each other.
From ‘Hug (International Version/English)’, 1st English Single
*Hug – This is a very nice song but I still prefer the Original/Korean Version. It has also good message though some lines don’t match. TVXQ speaks better English than other Gasoos that I know. It is about young love, something like that.
From ‘Stay with me Tonight’, 1st Japanese Single
*Stay with me tonight – This is another dance hit from TVXQ or Tohoshinki in Japanese Entertainment. They have good Japanese though they still apply their Korean accent in some of the Japanese words. I really love the music and the beat of the song. I love dancing with it whenever I play it. The song is about a guy who likes a girl but he is afraid to tell her his feelings because she only wants to be friends with him. Jae Joong and Jun Soo both sung great and Yun Ho is so cute with that ‘freaky freaky wah wah’ thing.
*Try my Love – This is the sequence of ‘Stay with me tonight’. In this song, the guy tells the girl to try his love and see if she really doesn’t feel the same. But the guy doesn’t want to force the girl to love him back. It is such a nice song too.
From ‘HiYaYa Yorumnal’, ’05 Summer Single
*HiYaYa Yorumnal – Yoo Chun is rapping, again? I really love him when he raps in English. He remind me of ERIC MOON from Shinhwa. I really love the song so much. It is about spending unforgettable memories together with the one you love during summer. TVXQ did a great job in this song. Jae Joong sounds really good.
*Whisper of… (The space between the sky and the ocean) – Yoo Chun’s voice even when just speaking is so beautiful. He is so irresistible.
*I wish (Because we belong to you) – I really didn’t get the message of this song. I really don’t know if it is about the nature itself or the one who created nature. But the music of the song is good. Yoo Chun’s rapping is good and he is better than Yun Ho in English rapping since his tongue is flexible.
*Like Right Now (Ji Geum Chuh Rum) PIANO VERSION – This is the piano version of Like Right Now. I really prefer this version than the original because I can hear all of the TVXQ members singing clearly with their very beautiful voices.
From ‘Somebody to Love’, 2nd Japanese Single
*Somebody to love – The continuation of the ‘Stay with me tonight’ and ‘Try my Love’ story. After the guy ask the girl he loves to try (his love), it seems like even though they try, it didn’t work out. Now, the guy tries to find someone new and hoping to meet that ‘special’ someone to come in summer. Jae Joong and Chang Min’s Japanese are both good. Jun Soo’s improved so much. His accent doesn’t affect some of his Japanese words anymore. Yoo Chun and Yun Ho need more improvement.
*Kotoba wa Iranai (No words are needed) – The ‘Somebody to Love’ story continuous. Now, the guy finally met the new love he is waiting for. He is now happy with that someone he is with. No words can express how much they love each other. Jae Joong sounds really great in this song.
From ‘Rising Sun’, 2nd Album
*Tonight – This is not an ordinary love song that you can sing along. There are so many high notes to reach and so many low notes to dig. The song itself is very passionate. Jae Joong starts to sing higher notes than the usual notes that he sings. Who said Jae Joong can’t use a high pitch voice like Chang Min? He can do it better. Chang Min starts to sing lower notes like the others but he still has a problem with his words when he sings low. He tends to mumble, but not so much. This is a very hard song and I congratulate TVXQ for singing such a great song. TVXQ Jjang!
*Beautiful Life – This is my most favorite song of all the songs in this album. It reminds me of ‘Hug’ because it is also a sweet one. I love the part that says: ‘When you sleep, even when you’re angry, you look pretty’ (this is translated from the Korean lyrics). It is such a cute phrase. It is a simple song but the impact of this song to the listeners is so strong. It’s like a ‘courting’ song. This song is so cute and many fans have the same comment.
*Rising Sun – I don’t really understand what this song is all about. Is it for a broken heart? But even though, I still love to listen with it. Chang Min is really the one with the highest voice but Jae Joong and Jun Soo can do it also. Jae Joong’s voice get a little bit mature and I really love his new voice. This song is like ‘Tri-Angle’ but this one is better.
*Unforgettable (Babo) – I love this song. This is one of my favorite songs of TVXQ. Yoo Chun did a very good job singing higher notes. He is so cool. The song is about a love that you can’t get over with. You still want it even if it hurts you so much. The music matches the lyrics so much.
*Love is never gone (Naega Hurakhal) – Jae Joong’s sexy voice turned me on. He is so hot. The song itself is really good because the lyrics are very realistic. If you allow love to come in, you must be ready to be hurt. You’ll never know what love is until you felt pain.
*Love after Love – This is the continuation of ‘Love is never gone’. Even though you are with someone new, you can’t easily forget the past love of yours. I hate the music of this song. It doesn’t really match the lyrics. TVXQ sung this song well.
*Dangerous Mind – I don’t understand the message of this song. But I still like it like ‘Rising Sun’. Jae Joong’s cold voice ruled the whole song. He has the most beautiful voice of all. I started to do some choreography for this song. I feel like dancing with it.
*One – This is also one of my favorite TVXQ songs. I really love the music and message of this song. It is about longing for the one you love who is a distant away and hoping that when the time comes that she will come back, you still love her. Jae Joong and Yoo Chun are so irresistible.
*Love is… - This is like ‘Hug’. TVXQ step back to the sweet image again through this song. The song is about how love blooms between two people. It is such a cute song. Jae Joong’s voice is too mature for this song but surprisingly, he handled it good. The other did great job in singing this one.
*Free your mind – Is it Jun Soo? Is it really Jae Joong? This song shocked me so much. I was in total shock. I never thought that the two best singers in TVXQ could sing with very strong and harder voices. Jae Joong surprised me so much. He can sing faster lines now. Even though I don’t love this song, I just learnt to love it because of Jae Joong and Jun Soo’s singing skills.
*Love is all I need (Jageun Gobaek) – This is my most favorite song in this album after Beautiful Life. It is really a love song. The song is about a love that develops from a simple and deep friendship to a passion that is so strong. This is such a romantic song. I love the music so much. TVXQ rules my heart.
*Always There (Yasokhedon) – This is another Acapella song with a very sad meaning. It is about loosing a love and hope that two people can be together again. They sound really mature in this song esp. Jae Joong and Yoo Chun. They delivered the song very well.
From ‘My Destiny’, 3rd Japanese Single
*My Destiny – The song is mainly about how destiny affects love. Jae Joong’s Japanese improved like Chang Min and Jun Soo. The three best Japanese speakers in TVXQ did a great job singing this song. Yoo Chun and Yun Ho, even though they improved, they still need more practice.
*Eternal – The three best Japanese speakers in the group are the only ones who sung the song. I fall in love with this song when I first heard it. Jae Joong’s voice when he sings Japanese is really different from his voice when he sings Korean. I proved that by listening to this song. The song is romantic and the message is really good.
From ‘Show me your Love’, 2nd Christmas Album (with Super Juniors)
*Show me your love – This is a very cute song. I love the music and the beat. The collaboration of the best Acapella Boy band in Korean Industry and the new and fresh faces of the cutest and youngest group by SM Entertainment is good. The voices of the Super Juniors remind me of TVXQ during ‘Hug’ days. This is such a good song.
*I wanna hold you – This song is so romantic. I really love it. Jae Joong is so irresistible Yoo Chun is too. Jun Soo is still as good as ever. Chang Min sounds a bit mature. Yun Ho sounds sexy and he starts to hit higher notes too. TVXQ change a lot. You can prove it with this song.
From ‘Heart, Mind & Soul’, 1st Japanese Album
*Heart, Mind and Soul - This song is really so romantic. I love really the music. It is good to be an OST of a series on TV. Jae Joong sounds good.
*Break Up the Shell - The song reminds me of Dangerous Mind.
*Rising Sun (Japanese Version) - Whaa!!! The song is great but I prefer the original.
[almost all of the songs in this album is just a compilation of all their japanese singles except for Try My Love and The Way U Are (Japanese Version).]
From ‘Fighting Spirit', World Cup Single
*Fighting Spirit - OMG!!! This is the fruit of my vote in Arirang. The song is really nice and very heroic in tune. It really sounds like a love song.
From ‘Begin', 6th Japanese Single
*Begin - I really love the song so much. It is better than Asu wa Kuru Kara. The music is so good and is very relaxing.
*High Time – This song is so cool. This is one of my most favorite dance song from TVXQ. Jun Soo sounds sexy…
From ‘Insa', A Millionaire's OST
*Insa- I really love the JJ only version than the TVXQ one.
From ’06 SM Town Summer Album’
*Red Sun – Yoo Chun is so cute in this song. I love his rapping so much. Jae Joong sound really mature and Jun Soo too.
*Oasis – This song is better than Hi Ya Ya. I really love Chang Min in this song.
From ‘Sky’, 7th Japanese Single
*Sky – This is one of my favorites of all TVXQ songs. I love dancing and singing this song. Very Impressing esp. Yoo Chun’s English!
*No Pain, No Gain- This song is like Try my Love but this is a better one since the Japanese of our boys improved a lot.
From ‘VACATION OST’
*Holding back the tears- I really love this song so much. I never get sick listening to it for several times. Everyone must hear this song. You will fall in love with our boys more.
*Beautiful Thing- Jae Joong’s Insa is better than this but I think Jun Soo did a very great job singing this song that I started to like this song.
*Fox Rain – This was the song that Yoo Chun sung on X-man. I really like this song and I think Jun soo’s voice suit the song more than the composer (Yoo Chun). No Offense to all Micky fans….
